I have a basic knowledge of the language and of programming in general, but im not at the point where i can actually go ahead and code whatever i want. Ive seen some posts with "mentors" for C++, but is there anyone here who'd like to help a n00b out with Java? i'd really like to get some cool stuff made, but i need a little guidance first

What have you accomplished so far using Java?
Have you used it so far?

Even if it's as simple as "Hello World".

Meh, just in general. I know the theory behind programming. Classes, object references, methods etc.., but i cant quite make anything out of it. Maybe im just too unfamiliar with the Java classes to be able to use them, i dunno.

But I want to make applets or at least jforms, and i get lost whenever i try to.
