in january of this year, i cut my ex boyfriends name into my leg(and before you all tell me it was dump, i know it was, but i didnt want to be over him, i wanted him to be my knight in shining armor, but things didnt work out that way, but thats a different story), his name is only two letters. well i'm not really ashamed of ANY of my scars except that one, well it wasnt till recently that i was ashamed of it. cuz i was tired of thinking about him and hearing his name and things.
so yesterday, i got so depressed about him and about love and everything that i got this brilliant idea. (well my therapist isnt going to like it but oh well). so i went into my kitchen and grabbed two things, a knife and ice. went in the bathroom and grabbed a towel.
i numbed my leg and took the knife and made lines both long ways and short all on the name. trying to get rid of it, then i just scrapped over the name like millions of times in different directions and when i looked at it this moring it just looked like i made the name worse.
and now i dunno what to do

Get some medical attention for that leg to make sure it's alright first

This is a really helpful guide I found on how to hide scars:

-Cuts that are properly bandaged and taken care of scar less and heal faster. Getting stitches, if needed, will also lessen scarring.
-Wear a long sleeved button-up shirt open over a tank top; if anyone asks, tell them you're worried about sun exposure.
-Foundation and concealer, especially Dermablend, are especially helpful in concealing scars.
Wristbands and jewelery can also be used to hide scarring.
-If anyone asks about the scars, you can say: "It's a long story," change the subject, or simply say "I'd rather not discuss that," or even, "they're from mistakes."
-Ignore the question.
-Say "I have no idea what you're talking about." (while quickly adjusting your sleeves to hide the scars.)
-"What scars?" If they reply "Those ones," say "I don't see any."
-"None of your business." (you may wish to insert a curse word here.)

I believe there is a medication out there that greatly reduces the appearance of scarring, I think it's called Mederma. It may be prescription only, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get.

Make sure to keep the wounds clean while they heal shut.  After that, use anything with vitamin E.. aloe or cocoa butter work well.  That will help to reduce the scars.

Also, you mentioned that you see a therapist.  Talk to them about what is going on.  It is not good to drive yourself into depression over significant others, there are many more important things in life that you should be focusing on.  I'm not saying that these things aren't important, because they are, but you just can't let that bring you down like that.

Well, I probably wouldn't even recognise that as a cutting scar.

It might be a good idea to get medical attention for it though. Listen to bri and xoxo, they're right on the money.

Ok, how big is this in comparison to your leg? The size of a coin or bigger? I have two both the size of a small coin on my right leg and I hate it, I don't wear a bikini much but I'd like to more.

When you're alone (so people don't ask) just sit in your garden/back yard and have a little sun bathe but make sure YOU WEAR SUNCREAM and don't sit out in it for too long otherwise it'll just make it worse. BUT by having a slight tan it can decrease the redness and turn the scar white. It'll then just look like a white, slightly silvery mark which isn't as obvious. Don't do this until it's properly healed though.

Until then, make sure you treat it properly and put on lots of creams with vitamin E and antiseptic if it's infected. Just remember to leave it next time though!
