Wow funny enough myself and my non band friends fought for like a month over this. It has become a stupid repetitive fight.

I think it is. Marching out in the heat, ive had so many kids complain about their calves and stuff. Plus, everyone works together towards a common goal, like mentioned before. Plus your arms tire after a while playing trumpet, baritone or any other instrument like that, and especialy sousaphones(not the fiber glass ones either). Honestly in my opinion, no one has a say until they have had a taste of both worlds. No one wants to come out and march with me so i tell them to shut their mouths. YES i do both athletics and band. I play baseball and trumpet, and next year's drum major( which is tiring also)

YES it is a sport. Concert band... no... Marching band... yes
