Sweatshops pay very little, have bad working conditions. Is the pay they get better than the nothing they'll have if people refuse to shop at those stores? Thoughts?

It's sad, but if that's what they need to put food on the table then I guess it is better than nothing. I just think it's sort of weird for huge industries like nike to pay so little when they have so much to give.

I still love nike dunks though

Yes, but essentially that is the point of sweatshops.  They pay people very little to make a product or part, and in return they sell it to a costumer who also will pay very little.  That is how the sweatshop gets their business.

It's just like how all our machine shops will send their work down to Mexico to get done.  The Mexicans will make the product for A LOT less than a machine shop in the US.

Closing down sweat shops isn't the answer, because people starve if they can't work even for a pitance.

Law reform in places like India is pretty much the only way to go.

sweatshops are horrible and cruel, people shoudnt be able to control others or treat them in such a bad way what gives them the right to do so ?
at the end of the day we are all human and i think it is discraceful that just because companies want to make lots and lots of money they exploit people in ledc's

i have lots of opinions on this matter but if i sed them all i would go on for ages
