So Im startin back up in using max, and first I wanted to brush up on my rendering skills... So I rendered this, and my goal was to make it look as real as I could and I also focused on reflections.

But, I used a renderer called vray, I love it to death. It's my favorite, and makes realism like this possible, if you know how to do it. Rendering is just modelling, it's something that takes lots and lots of practice. And I'm just a beginner in vray, but Im pretty comfortable with it...

There's another program called POV-Ray you might try, although it's not quite a modeller- it's a bit different, but much more powerful when it comes to detail.
