my pc says i have a virus, i have norton anti virus, but that is not the program that is telling me i have the virus- it is

this-

i think its a program like quakespy or quakevirus im not sure.

web pages lad really slow, and all, i havent downloaded anything, and i want to get rid of it, i have gone add/remove programs and removed all the things i didnt have before. please help

did you click on that and it downloaded a 'virus scanner' for you and all of a sudden you have 6 of every category? yeah

get avg (http://www.grisoft.com), its free and works

I suggest you to download something like Ad-Aware (don't know is it free)
It's one of the lava soft progs which deletes spyware like you have got, normal anti virus progs doesn't help to delete spyware
I'll try to find for you that ad aware

Try Avast anti-virus,
Its a Good software.you can get that for free from here > http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

first you have to register and get the Activation key[they will Email you the Key#],after that download >Install > Run the Avast anti-virus >finally activate it by the Activation key.

After the Installation is done Run Avast and scan your PC.

And Try AVG Anti-Virus too many people say thats good,I've never used that but try that.Any how Avast is the best.Im using Avast.

yeah just so you know spyware quake is one of those fake virus scanners
