I've tried it, unfortunetly I only know basic commands such as fdisk, format, copy, dir ect...

The hard disk is new, so there's nothing on it, I need a fresh install of windows. Also, because it's a laptop, I'm not able to swop the hard drive to my PC...damn it.

Buy an external drive container for 2.5" drives and hook to your PC that way.

Windows 3.1 and 95 were available on floppies. 95 was also released on CDs.

Damn Small Linux (DSL) can fit on a 128mb usb stick, which will set you down probabaly the whole of a tenner.

You won't find that many modern, functional OSes on small media.

DSL saved my life.  Well, not literally, but it made building a router out of a comp with a 4 gig drive alot easier than it would be with other distro's.

But for a DSL Flash boot you need to have a Mobo that supports USB flash booting.
