Let me see if I understand this:

Argument 1: Men wrote a book about a time thousands of years before time stamp A. Since it is the Bible, it is accepted as evidence.

Argument 2: Men write books about a time bililons of years before time stamp A. Supporters of Argument 1 deem it as such:

absolutely no evidence whatsoever

... I see.

Literal creationism is great for intolerant, insecure people, but I have a question. Exactly where does it state in the Bible that evolution is false? If one believes that Genesis is a story of evolution made simple for Jews, then it's easy to have your faith and science co-exist. I'm wondering if there's specific proof in the Bible that shows evolution is wrong, that theistic evolution is wrong, Biblical evidence that could not possibly be "interpreted" by certain Christians.

One possible scripture that disproves evolution is Genesis 1:20-25 where it's stated that "birds" were created before "land animals."

^^That's all offtopic, but seeing as how YankeeFan is off scouring false information from articles produced by people with no scientific credentials, maybe you can help me understand this issue a bit.

The series of steps God does in the creation of the universe and life are, if taken litterally and using the modern definition of a day, contridictory of evolution. I don't know if this is scripture but many literalists believe that in genesis every creature that has existed was created at the same time and existed at the same time. Hence dinos and man.

That scripture doesn't disprove evolution. In fact it goes aganist evolution in that birds didn't exist for millions of years after land animals evolved from their amphibian ancestors.

Right, I was mistaken in saying 'disprove.' I agree that the scripture  contradicts the timeline of evolution. This also contradicts theistic evolution. Seeing as how literal creation is laughable at best, I once though I could reconcile God with evolution such as some Christians do. I see how this is now impossible unless I was a complete idiot.

Theistic evolution doesn't view genesis as literal. It's a story to explain the world to ignorant, nomadic jews. I don't see a problem if you take the bible as a metaphor in reconciling it with science in general.

I mentioned that four posts above.

I don't see a problem if you take the bible as a metaphor in reconciling it with science in general.

And it's not a problem that Genesis 1:20-15 contradicts the timeline evolution? I think even a non-literal, metaphorical "interpretation" of this passage makes it difficult for theistic evolution to exist.

There isn't any winning. You can't decide the victor when one side refuses to post. Besides, given how weak yank is in everything there's no much a question anyways in the general context of life.
