Aspartame is only toxic in high amounts.  One bottle of diet coke isn't going to kill you over.  Most things in extremely high amounts are toxic and/or deadly.  You can die from too much water intake.  Stop drinking water, people! =O

However, I do think its unhealthy to drink cokes every day, especially regular non-diet ones.  People will realize it when they start pissing kidney stones o_o

At our school, its only $1.00 for a bottle of coke.  Compared to the gas station's price of $1.20, I think I'll be sticking to the school's =]

Buying soda in school is stupid for the following reasons:

1. It's expensive (add up how much you spend per month)
2. It makes you thirsty (as all sugar filled drinks do)
3. It leads to diabetes and obesity
4. Diet sodas contain aspartame which is toxic to humans
5. It encourages states to reduce school funding when the school receives "outside funding" from soda sales
6. It makes you hyperactive and less able to concentrate in class
