I don't believe in a higher power so to speak. But I do believe in an elegant, underlying framework to the universe. Physics has been grasping at it for 100s of years, but will never fully understand the framework of the universe.
I also think that Physics is not the answer to the complete underlying framework of "everything" but Mathematics is. Basically, physics is formulated for our universe, but various branches of mathematics allow for behavior that does not exist in our universe, so I think Math holds the key to really grasping the "underlying framework", which is "God" to me. I don't know what this would be called, but it is NOT atheism (I dont THINK) or generalized theism either.
I am a math major by the way and theres nothing cooler than taking a look at the underlying framework for everything.

It's pantheism, basically the same as atheism.

Isn't pantheism the opposite of atheism?

Yeah a little mistake on my part, I found out not too long ago that pantheism was a bit different than what I thought it was.

Many forms of pantheism is just sexed-up atheism.

I am halfway between Catholicism and Orthodoxy.

I believe in God regardless of science, for science is the presumption that a thing which happens often, happens always.  Said otherwise, science notices patterns, but it can no more "prove" things than can religion.

As for me, existence is quite sufficient proof in a deity.  Christianity needs more of an oration than I can give at the moment, I can only recommend G.K. Chesterton's book "Orthodoxy".
