Norplant as you call it (implant to everyone else) 'irregular bleeding (including spotting, extra long periods, and break through bleeding) ' You can also not have periods at all, where as one of my mates is on for 7 weeks and off for 2. Also some last 3 years not 5, here in the UK now you cant get the 5 year ones its only the 3 years one. aparently it makes your body think you are pregnant which stops it fertilising eggs, so some people tend to pee more and become more tired I saw someon wrote it costs them $27 for the pill each month, we get all that free! why you made to pay for it? thats just stupid cos that will stop people getting contreception if they have to pay As some one else wrote the condom should be whats used is stupid, id rather the implant like i have to the condom, and most guys say they feel shit anyway. I dont like them and they are less trusty then the pill or implant, they split, i got pregnant from using a condom, never again Post edited at 12:07 pm on Aug. 20, 2006 by PerfectFairy

1. What contraception are you currently using? Are you happy with it or have you had side effects? male condom, yeah im fairly happy with em, just dont want em 2 split or anything :/ had no side effects so far :) 2. Which do you consider the best for teenagers to use? male condom, they're so easy 2 use, its hard 2 put them on wrong cos they giv u a leaflet in the box if u dont kno, they teach u how to put them on in school, they protect from sti's, and they like 96% effective at preventing pregnancy. 3. Do you think birth control should be easier to get? Should we skip doctor appointments? Should it be free? yeah i think they should be more easier than they are, although it is easier now than it was yrs ago, i think we should be able to get the pill without having to go see the doctor, but i think you can from family planning clinics :/ and yeah i think all contraception should be free, if they want to prevent unwanted pregnancies/teen pregnancies

Its always a hassle getting birth control a lot of the time its not in a persons area. I know my pill wasnt so i always had to travel. I dont trust any really. I was using condoms and the pill was very careful with them but still in 124 days ill have 3 kids and im only 20! I give up!

I stopped taking the pill because i wasnt happy with the side effects. the psycho nurse gave me a real hard lecture about it too "u might get pregnant and then ull have to abort then blah blah psychological effects etc" which i found unfair. it was free for me but im in the UK, its easy to get too and confidential. im sticking to condoms for now which i get every few months from the same place. has anyone heard of spermicide? some kind of spray that kills sperm cells...not seen any around does anyone know if its any good?

1. What contraception are you currently using? Are you happy with it or have you had side effects? Currently on the pill, its free in the UK. Got it from a family planning clinic, didnt need to have a cervical exam, just a few simple questions about my past 2. Which do you consider the best for teenagers to use? Condoms should always be used. If you are both virgins, I'd recommend going on the pill. When you have sex for the first time, it should be romantic, but if you do go on the pill, make sure you both stay faithful 3. Do you think birth control should be easier to get? Should we skip doctor appointments? Should it be free? Birth control was very easy to get for me. I also got 24 free condoms from the family planning clinic at the same time, which I occasionally use. Doctor appointments should never be skipped if you have been having sex, STI's should be just as important to worry about as pregnancy.

1. What contraception are you currently using? Are you happy with it or have you had side effects? I'm on 'The pill' (Levlen).I haven't noticed any side effects, except i haven't had near as many mood swings!!I'm really happy with it,i can delay my perios if i really need to,but this sortof went to my head when i first got it,i skipped one period, then delayed the next for a week. The actualy periods are lighter too. 2. Which do you consider the best for teenagers to use? The Pill combined with Condoms. 3. Do you think birth control should be easier to get? Should we skip doctor appointments? Should it be free? Yes,it should be easier to get,in the form of condoms though.I think they should be free, but as for The Pill and other forms of contraception,i think they should definetly be prescribed by a doctor only.
