I think it's random. Sometimes I think it depends on the amount of people who create an account with LiveWire. That's probably something that Dave or one of the mods can answer. Sorry.

From what I understand the novices are distributed at random to any of the support leaders online at the time the novice joins LiveWire. Each support leader has an equal chance to become that novice's Support leader. The less support leaders online the greater your chance is of getting a new novice.

The novice thing came along after I became a support leader I think. But when it first started I had loads of new novices all the time. But now I only get a few every so often. As others said, it's random I think.
