Although college may not be for everyone but for a lot of people it's a huge deal because... well, it is!  I mean, it's a big change in a person's life because it determines how thier career and life ends up.  I know so many people who have gone to college and found the bestest friends and even thier spouse there.

College may be more schooling but it also helps you discover yourself even more than high school does.  Seriously, it's way different than college (that is, if you let it) and you can learn so much more about life as you transcend into the real world.

Sure, there's the school part of college to (not) look forward to, but what about social stuff? I've met SO many new, different people with very different viewpoints than the monotonous people I was schlupped around in high school with. I only have to be around people I actually like, I don't have to be around assholes like in high school. Parties are cool, I like going to some, but it's not my number one favorite thing EVA!!! or anything. The freakin FREEDOM is amazing; I can stay out until 4 am just chillin and no one's there to bitch at me when I go home. And etc etc. The point is: High school=chains, College=freedom.

It's what you make of it. Just like everything else. It holds way more opportunites and freedom than highschool. It's a chance to meet new people, learn new things, and grow as a person. It's not for everyone, so have fun working your whole life or mooching off your parents.. whichever applies to you.

I'd give it a chance, if you could.

college is in all ways better than high school. you are encouraged to think, not repeat answers. there are all sorts of people, and you are not so restricted to "clicks". you are regarded highly for hard work and original thought. you can choose what classes to take (other than the required core classes) and determine your own path in life. you grow in college, without the growing pains of high school. in high school, you begin to search for who you are. college gives you a chance to really find out. take total advantage of the college experience!

college is exciting because of the many new people you get to meet and the education is a lot better and at a higher level than highschool. Enjoy your college years, many have and those that didn't wish they did.

It is exciting. From where I came it's almost alluring. Where people actually care what your opinions are, by people I mean teachers. And besides it will give you a chance to glimpse how people are, be it backstabbing or those few that actually want to help you.

University is one of those regular things in life - its not a magical fairyland where you automatically have friends, make out with hot guys and go to lots of parties. If you want it to be like that, you have to make an effort, Rome wasn't built in a day.

For those people who find university depressing, well, let me tell you this, life is depressing (a matter of opinion)... so make the most of it while you're there because it gives you excellent life skills.

College is real life, you won't find anything there that you won't find in life... when you graduate and move out of your parents' home you still have to find your own friends, you still have to find a bf/gf, you still have to have fun.

Embrace life, don't run away from it.

That's some good shit.
