Yeah, that's why people made up God in the first place. It's quite fun, really, and very intresting. You probably can't enjoy science as much as I can due to your beliefs. You have to dismiss everything as what God does, you can't know how things really happen. I'd hate to lie to myself. I know I'm pretty pessamistic, but I feel better this way.

I agree with the OP. I don't understand how atheists live with themselves, knowing that no matter what they do, no matter what they say, they won't really make a difference because according to them, everybody dies eventually, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. No matter what you accomplish, it will all be for nothing.

not true at all. Every one of us makes a difference. People accomplish great things. all of the scientists philosphers and inventors who ever lived, lived for something and were meaningful. And even if we dont get remembered in a few hundered years we make a difference through the lives we touched and influenced or even created.
