ok im on Microsoft's website, trying to download the service pack 2 for Home Edition XP. I can download it but for some odd reason it wont install. it says i need a drive to hold it on? Which i have no clue.


any ideas and help, id greatly appreciate it.

You have to put it to disk, format and then partition your harddrive.

He shouldn't need to format. SP2 is just a huge collection of patches, not a whole new install.
