I'm pretty excited, three friends and I are living in university apartments next year and we've already been talking about it for this fall. I'm a sophomore and I've lived in the dorms since I've gotten to college and I've either lived with random roommates I didn't like or else in a single room. So living with friends, that'll be cool. So this fall all four of us will be juniors. Apartments for the following school year start filling up by October. So even though I'll just have lived with my friends about a month, I'll have to decide if I want to get a privately-owned apartment for the next year, or else try to sign up for the university apartments in November.
These are my best friends at college and I'm looking forward to living with them, but they're all education majors and I'm not. I can't speak for them, but most likely they'll want to get the university apartment senior year too. I'm not sure if I should get the apartment with them though. My problem is they'll all have to do their student teaching so won't be in this town after first semester. So if I'm in the apartment, the university will just fill it with random people that transfer after the semester or for whatever reason. With my past roommate issues, I don't really like the idea of being put with random people (mostly likely people younger than me) for my last semester at college.
So do you think this is a good decision not living with them for the second year? Two of my friends in the apartment are really close friends and they asked me if I wanted to live with them. After they asked me, they had kind of a difficulty finding another person for the fourth person. So I don't want to make it difficult for them to find someone else, and I don't want to make it seem like I don't want to live with them again.
