Seriously, support leaders. There's 30 of you online most of the day, yet you seem to only be in it for the benefits.

This REALLY pisses me off. There's desperate people here, asking us for help with their problems, yet we're too bust jacking off to porn and taking about what movie someone should go watch!

It makes me wana close my account.

I've been a support leader for 6 days and have made more replies than most support leaders in their entire time being here. Cut me some slack if I have my own problems to deal with and take a couple days off.

Support Leader is a voluntary position, berating them for not answering questions they feel they are potentially inadequate to reply to, or any other number of reasons to not respond immediately, isn't going to accomplish anything good.

Sure 4 e-helps might get more replies because you usher and bully someone into replying, but are those replies truly genuine if you are the catalyst for it? No, not in my (idealistic) opinion. It needs to be heartfelt, and genuine.

Not to mention that calling someone pathetic over 4 eHelps (which isn't much at all) is rather silly, and can definately ruffle feathers.

Thanks for being supportive of the support leaders chap.

A lot of times, I find myself reading a topic, beginning my reply, and realizing that I really have nothing valuable to add, because my life experience hasn't lead me through depression, through self-harm, through the deaths of loved ones. A lot of times, I just have nothing to say.

Posts like this actually make me want to reply and help even less. Most of us don't realy enjoy being insinuated that we're lazy or worthless SLs simply because a few eHelps don't have any replies yet.

I'm a month late or so, but God, way to chuck a fit over it. I look at a lot of eHelps and find that I simply have nothing to say, so I don't reply, especially if it's something that I don't feel comfortable answering. Why take up one of the replies with a mediocre post of your own when there are others who could answer far better? Nagging is discouraging. As it is, I'm going to answer one now because I haven't done any in a while.

Ah, this ongoing issue. All I have to say is: We aren't robots. You can't expect perfection from a group of 13-30 year olds, we all have something to do, and people should take granted for how much we help them.

I love how people tend to ignore the work SLs do in the forums...

So because we don't answer every eHelp flashing away we're automatically in it for the benefits? (by the way, what would you actually call the benefits of being a SL?) Nice.
