For anorexics: what kept you sticking to your meal plan and trying to get better? What was your motivation?

For me, it's knowing if I gain enough weight for my periods to start again, I can run cross country with my team this fall. I already have to miss the entire track season...

being able to go home from hospital was a big incentive for me and I suppose being well enough to do normal things and go to school. Also, being healthy was an incentive for me as i didn't want to give myself long term problems. I still found things hard though.. believe me.. even with these goals i found it SO hard to stick to.
