Are you kidding me with this?

You'll get done for GBH, which carries a sentence of life imprisonment.

Was there intent to harm on your part? Clearly there was.

Did the kids provoke your actions?

If you think stabbing in the stomach is just wounding, you're an idiot.

Your sentence depends upon the court in which it gets tried, whether it's a county court or a magistrate court, and how the actual victim is feeling (and how much damage you caused him).

How exactly did they provoke you?

Was it verbal or physical?

Who told you the charge was wounding?

What actions did these 'kids' take upon yourself?

How old were they?

Provocation doesn't apply for Malicious Wounding.

Malicious Wounding carries a maximum of life imprisonment, and as you were carrying a weapon, I wouldn't be surprised if you were looking at 15-20.

Found in S18 OAPA, 1861.

He can't be sentenced in a county court, as that is for civil proceedings.

In that case:

Up to five years imprisonment on conviction by jury trial or six months imprisonment and/or fine if dealt with by magistrates.

It is an offence to unlawfully and maliciously to wound OR inflict Grievous Bodily Harm with or without a weapon on any other person. Instances that amount to a charge of Wounding or inflicting GBH include permanent disability, broken bones, substantial loss of blood. Splitting of skin within the mouth is sufficient. GBH = serious bodily harm, not necessarily a permanent injury.

More info from the Offences Against The Person Act 1861.
