Your act was assult with a deadly weapon.

It's enought to carry a wepaon but to use it is another thing.

Thats in America.

CPS will go for S18, trust me.

Knifing to the stomach, possession of a weapon would both go for MW or GBH with intent.

it wasn't in the stomach, it was the side,

and thanks for the help people i'm actually really scared

How many times did you stab him? Why were you carrying the knife? Have you had previous threats?

If you think stabbing in the stomach is just wounding, you're an idiot.

Your sentence depends upon the court in which it gets tried, whether it's a county court or a magistrate court, and how the actual victim is feeling (and how much damage you caused him).

lol.

when you don't know about legal matters, dont act as if you do...

HOW THE FUCK WOULD THIS CASE EVER REACH THE COUNTY COURT??

SINCE WHEN DID THE MAGISTRATES DEAL WITH INDICTIBLE OFFENCES?

oh, BTW.

this sounds like textbook GBH, and I don't think it will be a difficualt leap to infer that the attack was not reckless infliction but deliberate intention.

ergo, s.18 -- and the max is life for that one.

Every day. You obviously also have little understanding of the progression of the legal system. Magistrates always pass indictable offences up to the CROWN court, as oppose the the county.

And we've established the offence, many pages ago.

I think what I meant was reasonably obvoius - magistrates will not try indictable offences.

Then say that. If you even think about entering the legal system, learn to pick your words with the greatest accuracy.

How old are you?

With all the dick head 12-15 year olds swanning round with knives and guns it wont be long before harsher sentences are brought down on younger people.

You'd get a good 10 years at least, for a few reasons, for walking around with a knife, which Ive found you can get confiscated by the police and your parents told. Not that I was walking aorund with a kitchen knife on me, I was in the car to go kayaking, and a knifes quite useful for kayaking, and the police asked me what I was doing with a knife etc. Even though I was dressed in full gear, they still confiscated it and came round to my house, not that my parents were in.

That shows how intolerant theyre becoming, and its about time. This country beomcing less liberal can only be a good thing.
