I've seen a couple of sites - myspace, photobucket, youtube, - that all somehow have the ability to save data without reloading the page.
ie. On youtube, when you leave a comment, it does not reload the page. In my experience, it isn't possible to do this, so what I"m asking is how is it done? Is there some new javascript technique that can actually submit data without reloading a page, or is there a command that can submit that on page unload or something like that.
Just curious.

no one, I'm just not aware of any way using php or javascript to upload data do a database without reloading the page to execute a server side script.
