Hey,
I want to add windows on my mac, but I don't know which I should chose. I like XP a lot more than I do vista but we use vista for classes, and I'm not used to vista so it takes me a long time to complete simple tasks. So what do you think? Get the efficient one I like? Or get the vista so I can get used to it?

Thanks

Edit: The main thing that bugs me with vista is office, and that's the same thing I need to get used to.

Got more than 2gb Ram + Decent graphics card, Vista.
No? XP.

Vista isn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be. If you can't get used to it, just put classic view on. Simple.

Not really. Is vista better for games and stuff?

You are aware office has nothing to do with Vista?

You can install office 2007 on Xp and you can put any other office on Vista....

So your reasons seem a little limited. Why do people always do this... mix up the office suite and the OS...

In this poll, I know XP is going to kick Vista's butt. This is for one reason:

-Most people don't even have Vista. Therefore, they voted for XP (whether they have it or not)

Personally, I like Vista very much. I have had issues with it, but it was probably my fault. Just get the right amount of memory, and you are all good.

Pleaseremove is 100% correct. There is Office 2007, that works fine with Vista, but Office 2007 has nothing to do with Vista. You can put Office 97 on Vista if you truly wish.

Its not Vista's Office that looks different, its just Office '08.

It looks like that on XP.

Which I really hate.  I have trouble with the new interface and not being able to do things right.  If only there were the option to show classic menus...

On topic:  Stick with XP because it is cheaper.  Unless you are going to be doing moostly DX10 games.

Get XP, the new office will run on XP just fine, and look the same. Personally I highly reccomend Open Office over MS Office unless you're doing heavy statistics or database work or something else along those lines, as it's free and is compatible with MS Office's formats.

The only reason to get Vista is if your a gamer.
