Seriously, why is it that people say I drink (alcohol) but I don't do drugs. Even schools say Drugs and Alcohol education. This disassociation also negates medicinal drugs, caffeine, and nicotine. Why though? What makes it so we throw the category of "drugs" around as if it applies solely to illicit substances. This doesn't even address the issue that all drugs are different, even chemicals that fall under the same category such as depressants and stimulants are all different. Its ridiculous. Everyone does drugs plain and simple. Unless you are a hardcore vegan and eat nothing but lettuce you consume drugs be it hormones or heroin. No drug is bad, no drug is good, drugs are neutral.

We separate them because alcohol is defined differently than drugs. Drugs is nothing but a vague term used to describe anything that has adverse effects on the body, alcohol is just more to the point.
