I don't think you need to see every part of your country before you go somewhere else gar lulu. If that was what you were supposed to do, no american would ever leave the USA! lol. I've only been to about half the 50 states, and although I would like to visit more, there are some I couldn't care less about seeing. Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, North and South Dakota? there's nothing really THERE so why should I go??
I fortunately will have an opportunity to go to France this summer, and it's the first time I will have been out of the US (I'm 19). It's a study abroad trip through my university. I hope to visit many other countries throughout my life and live in several of them though!!
