Lately I've been having quite a few nosebleeds that usually last anywhere between 7-10 minutes. My nose has been pretty dry and stuffy though, probably because of winter. Anyway, I just had a nosebleed but it was different from all the rest and it's starting to worry me. It bled for (and I'm not exaggerating) about 20-30 minutes. During this time 2, I'll call them 'masses', came out of my left nostril. The first one that came out I didn't think anything of since I didn't really see it. I was leaning forward above the toilet so that when I switched tissues blood wouldn't get anywhere and this huge thing came out but it fell into the toilet and I thought it was probably just mucus. So my nose bleed finally started to stop but I still felt like there was something in there like it felt really stuffed. So I gently blew my nose and I figured it was just mucus. It came out, along with another nose bleed (but not as bad) and it looks like some kind of blood clot. I don't even know what it is. This is going to sound crazy but I took pictures of it in case I ever end up going to the doctor for this so I could show him.
I wouldn't be so worried if it was just the one but for it to be twice concerns me. And it's not mucus either, it's like this disgusting red blob. If you've ever watched doctor shows where they're doing surgery and they remove a clot or something, it looks like that. I would post the picture with this but it's just really gross I don't want to disgust anyone.
I don't really know what to do. I'm just in shock like this thing came out of nowhere. I guess the reason I'm posting this is to see if maybe anyone here has an idea of what could be the problem or if you've had this happen too?

Are you taking any medications? Sometimes new medicines can cause nosebleeds.

No, I'm not.
The only thing that comes to mind is when it got colder outside my nose was really dry and it's been that way ever since.

The red blob as you described it is nothing more than clotted blood, absolutely nothing to worry about. But if your nose is dry, they sell nose sprays that are supposed to help with frequent nose bleeds, though I cannot validate their effectiveness since I have never used them.

Well, since the air is really dry etc... then look into some nose sprays that keep your nose moist, they sell them over the counter. They can help prevent nose bleeds during cold weather.
