I love them. Great quality, full sound.

However, the only problem is that they leak so much sound.

I'm in a single dorm this year, however I have a suitemate (we have our own rooms, but we share a bathroom)

During the day, I have my headphones on loud -- since its daytime, and since we have classes I know he wont be bothered by the sound

However, at night time (it's 3am now...bloody clocks going forward!) i like jamming out to my ipod. However, he's in bed at such a time.

Now, a wall does separate us, of course. I don't know how much sound he can hear, if any.

But I'm a kind individual, and dont like bothering people, so I keep the music as low as possible.

But i'd rather increase the volume, of course -- sounds better

So, my question is: Is it ok to turn the volume up on my headphones despite the huge leakage problem, as long as he doesnt complain? If he complains, I of course will then turn it down, but is it ok to assume that if he doesnt complain, I can listen to it loudly?

Just in case, why don't you ask him?
