Are you looking into compacts, sedans, full-size, convertible...? Do you want AWD, FWD, or RWD (FWD or AWD are best for newer drivers or even the average person)? Looking for automatic (pussy) or manual? New, used, or very used? Domestic or Import? Give some better limits for what you are looking for. 
She's a girl, and most people drive automatics, not because they can't. Because it's pointless and too much trouble and distraction in every day hard traffic.
My sister is fine with it. Like me, she refuses to purchase an automatic. Maybe Americans are just too lazy, if not that they are just too stupid.
Well, alot of the car's driven are not even offered in a Manual. None of my car's were offered in a manual. And as you said, alot of americans are too lazy
