As you should know, humans are only capable of using 10% of their brains, while Geniuses and Extremely Brilliant Scientists have been known to use up to 20%. The access to the larger parts of our mind has yet to be decoded, and no one is exactly sure how we can enter those parts of our brains that would make us capable of using 100%(including the conscious and sub-conscious mind.) So, are there any ideas on how we may be able to use all 100% of our brains?

The 10% thing is incorrect. That's just silly science being wrong on so many levels. Who is to say what is "used" and what is "unused"? Some fucking electric signal mapping of the brain? Yeah, because we TOTALLY know everything about how the brain works.

The 10% thing is wrong.

I believe you said that twice. It has been proven to be correct by the brain activity use over a period of years on several thousand test subjects. The normality of the situation is that average human beings do use 10% of their brains. I'm not saying we know exactly how the mind works, but we do know that humans do use 10% of their brains.

Are you willing to post any sources for this? Because I find it difficult to believe as well.

The 10% is a myth.

Studies have proven that we use our entire brain.

Some more than others.

Yes, I am. Give me a few minutes to find my sources.

It has been proven to be correct by the brain activity use over a period of years on several thousand test subjects.

What I was refuting was not what the tests show, I'm refuting that the tests are correct. It's like saying, "Well, I don't see any stars in a dark patch in the sky, therefore there must not be any."

Just because the brain mapping scans show that certain parts of the brain do not fire off electrical impulses at all, what does that prove? Nothing. We know literally nothing about how the brain REALLY works in comparison to other things. It's still shrouded in mystery how memories are stored.

Do you noticed that you just missed the entire point?  We don't know exactly how the brain works, so any assertions we make about how it works are going to be completely flawed, like using only ten percent.  Honestly, for all we know, the other 90% is just used to store memory, and doesn't show up as "used" if the information isn't being accessed.

I mean, think about this.  What skills does a genius possess that a normal person does not?  For the most part, it seems like memory.  The criteria for a genius is the patterns they can decipher, which comes from remembering them and connecting them.  This all pertains to memory.

So you're saying that the percentage of our brains that we actually use is due to the memories we have stored and developed within our lifetimes, and exactly how much of those facts and fictional works you are able to remember determines how much of your brain you are able to use? I understand that the no one has yet been able to figure out exactly how the human mind works, so we really can't be sure of the percentage of our minds that we use. What I am trying to say is that i think we only use 10% of our brains, or more likely, i have that opinion.

Generally speaking, you should check out a website like Snopes.com before posting things like this. It prevents embarrassment in the long run.

I'm not embarrassed. I was proven I was wrong. When you make a mistake, you learn from it and become a better person, with more knowledge than you previously had. However, the next time you try to insult me, don't try to do it subtly and without any real meaning in it.

Why have 100% brain if we only use 10%? It doesn't make evolutionary sense. We have to use all of our brain, else we wouldn't have it. We just can't use it all at the same time, as those with epilepsy have demonstrated.

Most of those sources actually disagree with you.  Even if one or two of them do agree, they are not studies.  Posting links to other forums does not constitute a source.
