The 10% thing is incorrect. That's just silly science being wrong on so many levels. Who is to say what is "used" and what is "unused"? Some fucking electric signal mapping of the brain? Yeah, because we TOTALLY know everything about how the brain works. The 10% thing is wrong.
I believe you said that twice. It has been proven to be correct by the brain activity use over a period of years on several thousand test subjects. The normality of the situation is that average human beings do use 10% of their brains. I'm not saying we know exactly how the mind works, but we do know that humans do use 10% of their brains.
Do you noticed that you just missed the entire point? We don't know exactly how the brain works, so any assertions we make about how it works are going to be completely flawed, like using only ten percent. Honestly, for all we know, the other 90% is just used to store memory, and doesn't show up as "used" if the information isn't being accessed. I mean, think about this. What skills does a genius possess that a normal person does not? For the most part, it seems like memory. The criteria for a genius is the patterns they can decipher, which comes from remembering them and connecting them. This all pertains to memory.

So you're saying that the percentage of our brains that we actually use is due to the memories we have stored and developed within our lifetimes, and exactly how much of those facts and fictional works you are able to remember determines how much of your brain you are able to use? I understand that the no one has yet been able to figure out exactly how the human mind works, so we really can't be sure of the percentage of our minds that we use. What I am trying to say is that i think we only use 10% of our brains, or more likely, i have that opinion.

Why have 100% brain if we only use 10%? It doesn't make evolutionary sense. We have to use all of our brain, else we wouldn't have it. We just can't use it all at the same time, as those with epilepsy have demonstrated.
