alright so i want to apply for this job in information technology support. i'll be assisting in computers and phones along with clerical work. but they have this in an internship. i really want to get out this job that i have now because they don't offer information technology support.
i was thinking that i should do internship to work my way in and then they might want to hire me. the thing about it is that i'm also in college (dun dun dun) and so i would only be able to do it after school for about an hour to two hours. the best thing about it is that the job is down the street about 3 km :) so what would you suggest?

Why wouldn't you apply?  Especially if it's a paid internship.  In my experience, college students tend to make more at internships than more normal jobs for that age like retail.  Of course, restaurant servers and bar tenders really rake it in.

Anyway, I'm on my second internship for Accounting and it's pretty solid.  I get great hours and experience, while making some extra money on the side.

Behold but one in all things, it is the second that leads you astray.

If you can afford to take an unpaid internship, then definitely do it. You will gain experience and hands on knowledge you won't get in a classroom. If your good, they may offer you a position when you graduate or before.
