legally require you to get a doctor's note when you call in sick? because i just feel really under the weather and honestly there is not point in me going to a doctor... all they will tell me is that im sick since i am allergic to anti-biotics.

Yes, and I can't imagine why you think the law would require that you be allowed to simply not show up to work just because you don't feel well, with no documentation. I'm sorry, but not everyone is honest as you. Generally, a doctor's note is required to miss any shift, unless you find another employee to cover you.
