After thinking about it for a while, Im in a Vista trial (Ultimate x64).

I will get my copy in a few weeks from WFP, so I thought I should try it out.

So far, Im liking what I have.

Anyways, what should I know? Anything I should enable/disable?

I already have DreamScene running, and I have the UAC disabled, but other than that, I dont have anything else really configured.

Keep in mind, performance really isnt an issue, Ive got a quad core and 4gb of RAM.

I had some driver issues with my Wifi adapter, but I solved them.

I like it right now, its so shiny.

Save yourself a TON of money and buy the OEM edition.

Second, make very sure the wifi is working 100%- mine appears to most of the time, but tends to get random latency spikes that aren't present in XP on the same system, and going into sleep mode causes vista to crash- because of the wifi card.
The card otherwise appears to work just fine in vista, so that's why I mention it.

I also have a quad core (Q6600), 2GB of RAM, though I'm considering moving to 4GB or more.

8800GT 512MB =D

Interesting about the Wifi, I was wondering why I was getting the BSoD every morning.

I bet thats what it is.

Oh, but why would I want to buy the OEM? Im getting a free copy from Windows Feedback Panel.

Ah, I misread that as being only for the trial, not full version. Sorry.
