Don't miss high school at all
Is that good?

Some people say that high school is where you meet your real friends, and college is where you network. But I now realize that I just didn't fit in in high school, despite the fact that I was, by all means, a popular guy. For example, most of my friends are either working or in community college; as for me, I'm at an Ivy League school. There was also a lot of racial tension in my school, since there were two easily observable groups: hickish White kids from the outlying suburbs, and the rich fobby Asian kids who looked more in place in Hong Kong. It was hard to fit in with either of this crowd, so I couldn't really find any like-minded people.

But now I'm at college, there are people with similar aspirations as me, and there's also no stupid racial tensions. Most of my college friends have friends who also got into Ivy League schools, or go to school nearby. But all my high school friends are on the other side of the country. They don't wish me happy birthday on Facebook, save for a few, and I'm perfectly fine with that. During high school, that's the only world I knew, so I was happy. But now, I wish that I had grown up among more like-minded people. It's not a class issue, and I'm not trying to be elitist, but I feel like I was so different from everybody back home.

Maybe if you find the right people to hang out with...you don't have this problem. I'm sorry that you hated your high school.

I didn't hate my high school. I had a blast, but in retrospect, it was totally an ill fit for me. I don't keep in touch with anyone anymore, and if I do meet up with them again, we'd have nothing in common.

I'm the exact opposite, I have way more friends from school and I feel like I fit in there utterly and completely. I miss it so much. I don't fit in anyhwere anymore.

I'm still in high school but I think it all depends on where I'm going to end up. I'm afraid that I'm going to miss some of my best friends but I don't think I'll be a complete wreck...I think aside from my friends, I'll be just fine.

i hate my high school. im sick of all the same old fake, shallow, and snobby people who dress the same and think the same. im ready to meet some new, interesting, even eccentric people who thinks about more important things than going to the mall on saturday night >_<

I liked high school but I'm having way more fun in college because I'm in a new city with a new set of people. I still keep in touch with some friends from high school though.

I hated high school, absolutely hated all 4 years of it. There were people there that I just couldn't stand (and still can't) and I am glad to be out and away from all that. I want to do something awesome with my life just so that when we go back for the 10-year reunion it's all, "oh kaylin what do you do?" "Oh, I live in New Zealand and am curator of a museum" or something awesome like that. Blow these hicks out of the water.

Anyway, I am so glad that I found alot of like-minded people in college; I am from a VERY conservative area, and I am pretty liberal, so it is so refreshing to have other people who don't blindly follow religion or worship the ground W walks on.
