im finding it a bit difficult now that ive got another blank A1 page in front of me. and i dont want to do a still life again or any scenery.

but i have this idea of doing something political, ive got this idea of doing a dark portrait of tony blair, like his face in the shadows, with a tint of colour in it, and hes looking at you with blank eyes. In the painting around him will be images merged with the shadows, of him wearing a poppy, the ww1 white crosses, a dying british soldeir, the remembrance statue in london, and some more if i think of them.

How does that sound?

PS im going to use acrylics.

It sounds to me like you want to symbolise what's going on and what's happened in the world however this is just my interpretation of what you have said.

If done correctly this could be a very powerful piece of art, so i say go for it. Using acrylics sounds good as they can be great to use.

If i were you i'd do something like tony blair's face in the foreground covering the left 2/3's of the page (and maybe have his eyes clouded over or smoke) and then on the right have 4 or 5 little mini scenes that all fade into one another... like british soldiers on the front line, the houses of parliament etc.

And yeah, I like they idea of doing it all in dull tones of grey and blue giving the whole thing a very cold feeling and maybe just using some red in places (representing danger, blood spilled, fear, anger etc.).

Well, theres what I thought. You'll prob think it's shit but what can I say, I'm no art student...
