I love it when people post things as fact when they obviously have no idea what they are talking about. Not that I'm encouraging her to fast, it is NOT considered starving. Starving is when you don't eat when you no longer have fat reserves and therefore your body must look to your muscle and organ tissues for energy. In fact, fasting for a limited time can be one of the healthiest things you can do, provided you do it correctly. Your body puts a lot of energy and work into maintaining your digestive system, so when it is no longer necessary (i.e. while fasting), your body switches to 'cleaning' mode. Your system is then purged of wastes and toxins. Breaking a fast is just as important as starting a fast and the fast itself.
Dramaqueenxoxo is obviously going to attempt a fast no matter what any of you others say to her. So she might as well be educated on how to do it correctly and safely. Drama, try fasting for a maximum of five days. Three days will suffice. The day you begin your fast, DO NOT eat a huge meal. When you stop eating, your digestive tract will cease its function, so that food will just sit there in your stomach. Same thing when you break your fast. Break with juices for a couple of days. Progress to raw vegetables and fruits. For each day you fast, you should dedicate a day to breaking the fast. Drink LOTS of water. Water not only keeps you hydrated, but it actually helps you to lose more weight; fat gets released in your urine.
For best results, research what you're doing! Eating limited calories like that is NOT very effective. Your metabolism will slow to compensate for the lack of energy and calories your body is consuming. An alternative to a complete water fast is a juice fast which can be quite healthy and still keep you energized. Intermittent fasting is also another option while keeping you healthy (eat Day 1, don't eat Day 2, eat Day 3). But don't just eat anything.
Fasting can create an appreciation of foods you never liked before and in turn can cause you to eat healthier if you can stick to it. But again, look all this information up. If you have any further queries, feel free to message me.
