I want to tell you all about the    Ditch the Label     campaign!

Some of you may already be aware of the campaign and what it hopes to acheive, but for those of you that don't -    pay attention    !

Ditch the Label hopes to completely change the negative stereotypes associated with different social labels. It sounds like a big task but we already have thousands upon thousands of people behind the campaign.

You may not be aware of the stereotypes around you, but think about these, are they completely true   ?!    

- Boys are insensitive, lazy and follow sports
- Girls are over sensitive and vain; they try to be size '0'
- Gays are over-effeminate and are riddled with HIV
- Lesbians have shaven heads and are extremely masculine
- Obese people spend their time eating infront of the television
- Under-weight people are attention seekers
- Black people are illegal immigrants and are terrorists
- White people are socially superior and racist
- Unemployed people are lazy and uneducated
- People with a profession are arrogant and 'up themselves'
- People with blonde hair have no intellect capability
- People who speak their mind are bitchy and abrupt
- People that like rock music and wear black worship the Devil and have suicidal tendencies
- People that wear designer clothes lack in personality
- People that listen to dance music obviously have children at the age of 11

The list is endless, but you get the idea!
Ditch the Label isn't here to completely rid of social labels; after all, we're all technically a gender, an appearance, a sexuality, a race etc. but that doesn't make    EVERYBODY     else within that label the exact same!
