When are asians going to get better roles in films? I'm honestly curious, because in movies like "21", "Dragonball", and "Speedracer" on the horizon where it would make sense for an asian to play as the protagonist, they're once again left on the sidelines playing some banal supporting role while it continues to be trendy for a white male to be casted as the lead. I'm not even asian and I'm getting tired of it. Do it once? Fine. Make it an everyday thing and it just gets lame. I hope with the influx of manga to film adaptations we're not forced to see the same thing over and over...some token white man in an asian inspired enviroment being the sole messiah. I kinda laughed my ass off at that shitty flick, "The Pathfinder". White jeebus leading all the poor, lowly, native americans from persecution of the mean ol' vikings. Anyway my point basically: The movie "21" with that white guy who counts cards...in reality this is based off an asian male by the name of Jeff Ma. But of course hollywood had to bleach it up some more. "Dragonball"...everybody but the main protagonist and the main antagonist is asian. Coincidence? Naaah. "Speedracer"...same as Dragonball, only they have a majority white cast. Ya ya, race doesn't matter...or does it? If it doesn't then I wanna cast Blair Underwood in the next 007 movie, then we can all watch America go bonkers. Lol. Alright but honestly, asians need better roles. The day I see some white guy playing in a Samurai Champloo manga adaptation somebody is getting knifed. And to any ignorant bitch-naz that thinks such, Anime characters are not a representation of western civilization.

Black dudes get plenty of main parts. Will Smith is a brilliant actor!

I think it's because generally, we North Americans are more attracted to those in the same race. Seems all the rest of the world has some idolization for other races, but Caucasians are generally more self-absorbed.
