the only famous Asian actress who gets GOOD roles is Sussanah O

I beg to differ. Lucy Liu.

I've only heard of her in Cashmere Mafia (I think that's the show).

But Sussanah O actually gots good fims, and she's doing good on TV.

Bro, Lucy Liu is just one of the few mainstream asian american actresses. She's not getting good roles. "Kung Fu Panda" and "Charlie Chan". Oh ya. What a fucking legacy.

Actually, i don't like Lucy Liu that much. xD I just decided to spit that out because the only movie I liked her in was Charlie's Angels.
Sandra Oh is great in Sideways.
But I digress. This topic is making me angry. -sighs-

The dude from Dragonball Z isn't Asian, he's an alien. And it's called selling to a market, kids would rather see a white dude landing chicks and playing blackjack and it sells.

Could you just shut up? Because honestly, you don't know what you're talking about. Asians can act and make movies. The problem with you, is that you're generalizing it between three different films, and anime.

I think you misinterpreted what the OP said...at least..it sounds like it.

He's saying they CAN act and CAN make movies, but American directors/etc. don't want asians for roles other than stereotypical "asian" movies.

What kids? White kids? Guess what meatface, white kids are not the only kids in America. White kids are set for life on self-esteem building. They can walk 2 blocks to find a white hero of some kind. What about these other children? Think and you might not be such an idiot. Just a little tip for your failed existence.

As for the entire "Goku in an alien" it is clear that he was drawn with the intent of appearing Asian, as whites are incapable of having black hair. It is common knowledge that white people need to see minorities with overexaggerated stereotypes to realize that said person is of that minority group. Since DB originated in Japan, this was not the case. Now I'm going to link you to some reading material that I'd like you to copy and paste. Think you can do that, young padawan learner? You right click, copy and paste. Give it a shot, it's not so hard but with your motor skills it might prove to be a difficult feat, but I believe in you somehow.

I didn't say that.... it's called sex appeal. For example, I have tons of female friends and most of them think that white guys are hot, and they all come different backgrounds. That's not racism, that's just what people are attracted to when they're around more a majority, plus there's pop culture. When's the last time you've seen a famous male Asian sex symbol? Exactly, calm the hell down, I'm not trying to be a douchebag.

And really you don't know what they intended. Just because of his hair colour you can't really assume anything. I've watched anime before. I've seen white and Asian characters with weird hair colours. Like, Yugi from Yu-gi-oh has blond hair, and round eyes, and I'm prettyyyyy sure he's Japanese in that series.

What do you think the point of this post was? This is America, not White America bro and if blacks can overcome being misrepresented in film, then asians most DEFINETLY can. So there's no asian sex symbol in America? Why can't there be one?

Aside from that subject though lol, I'm sure not everybody watches movies with the intent of finding someone to get hot 'n bothered over. That's why pornography isn't in regular cinemas. Hardcore anyway >.>

Well, there are far more blacks and whites and hispanics out there, and therefore you see more of them in the media. It's an ability type thing, it's just the way it is. It's a combination of numbers and preference. Culturally you see Asians here trying to use hard work to achieve a better life than they may have had in their homeland, and acting isn't something that usually pays off, therefore you don't see so many in the media, that and the fact there isn't many of them. People aren't up and deciding that they don't wanna see Asians in film, it's just that the typical hot guy in Hollywood is white and whether people realize it or not, sex sells, so therefore the producer chucks your generic pretty boy in. Eventually this will change, but for now, it's just the way it is.

Oh and as for your point, it's something like going to a nude beach. You probably wanna go because you like being nude, and you probably don't consciously want to be turned on, but it happens and it can be a motivation.

of course they kept jackie chan. are you f'n nuts? do you realize how controversial that would be if they purposely casted a non-asian actor to play jackie chan? besides, it's really not saying much that they kept him and lucy liu in the mainstream, since they're playing characters that are stereotypical of asians.
