Is anyone in the fashion industry? What I really want to do is make dresses for debutantes. Or wedding gowns or out on the town gowns. I'm going to try to make a wedding dress out of a sewing kit. I know nothing about sewing but those kits are cheap and if I mess up I can get another one. Think I could sew a wedding dress all by myself?

You should really look into taking a class first.

To make high quality clothing, you'll need to know how to do different stitches and all. Different stitches are like appropriate for different fabrics, I believe.

I'd look around for a class. Learn the basics and then go for it.
