Even this being said... I still don't think it's right.  People make many stupid choices in their life... and sometimes, we pay the consequences.  We need to learn from our mistakes... You can't always understand your feelings or help them.  Sometimes the nice guy just doesn't suit our opinions... we can't get along with everyone, and we can't always see a future with everyone.  That being said... sometimes we don't realize the condescending actions, despite others warnings...  Do they HONESTLY deserve date rape?  Because nice guy or not, no one EVER expects someone to physically or sexually or emotionally abuse them.  Especially someone that you are dating or feel that you love a great deal.

Why should someone be so severely punished for making a mistake... your statement?  I equal it to saying that ever kid that runs out into the road after a ball should be hit by a car.  Maybe not killed, but getting hit would teach them a pretty good lesson, no?  A bit of surgery, a bit of hospitalization... at least they know better.  I mean, doesn't that seem a little fucked up...?  We can't see the future, and sometimes it's hard to see what consequences your actions will have...

All this being said, you even brought in her religion as well as her not having anyone in her family die... what does this have to do with anything?  You're giving stupid reasons to have such a horrible consequence for.

That being said, why even wish rape upon someone?  Of all things... I think it's almost an insult to those that HAVE been raped that you said that... to think that someone DESERVES it?  I dunno... iJeannie said it well... a thought like this seems to show ignorance... and in my opinion, jealousy.

That's why I say that you make it sound like jealousy... I mean, seriously... you've been through shit... many people have been through shit.  Why should one person, that seems to be relatively good in life, experience something that might mentally scar them for the rest of their life.  Do you even know what some women who were raped go through?  I honestly don't know, I haven't experienced... but even imagining it is horrible enough for me.  Because in the end... it's NOT something that you could control... maybe you could have avoided the situation, but in the end, you get PHYSICALLY overpowered by someone.  You're stuck, and you CAN'T do a single fucking thing about it.

I can't accept rape as a means of punishment.  And like you said, the driver CAN'T know about the kid... it just happens... and even if the kid IS rotten, why does that mean he deserves to get hit?  I guess my argument here is... why something SO serious?  Why something that could take a happy life, and destroy it?  Certain things... yeah, they make you upset, they fuck you up... but other things, they stick with you for life... it messes up further relationships, it makes you lose trusts in others... some girls lose sleep because they're just flat out scared.  So why rape?

And that's the reason why everyone is so against you... for those that have been through, tha thave seen others go through it, or have heard about others experiences... rape just CANNOT be justified.

Some people in the world are downright shallow and assholes (I'm not talking about you, I don't think that about you).  They only think about themselves, and they don't care about the emotional or physical trauma that others cause them.  I guess part of the other thing in this matter?  Rape involves two people... you'll need to get someone that could truly care less about the person... in a sense, at least you want to teach them a lesson (don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you to go rape people, lol), but a rapist?  It's again... that selfishness... someone that you see as selfish, stupid, or uncaring... should be emotionally/phsyically harmed by someone that's even worse than that...?

I'll be honest... I rarely get angry, but there are sometimes where I honestly just want to beat the shit out of someone.  While I never voice my opinion, their complete lack of common sense and logic irritates me to no end.  With sexual predators around, DON'T go out in flaunty clothing, DON'T go out by yourself.  But then again... for some women, they just need better education on the matter of rape, and what many random rapists will look for in a female that they can overpower.

And it's true, people hurt people... but honestly... have you lost a loved one?  If you kill that one person, if you HURT that one person... you hurt all of those around them.  It's not just that one person you're dealing with... you'll ultimately end up affecting those that are around them as well, or those that may enter their future...

I still fail to see, why rape?  In some cases, I can slightly understand... when a female knows of recent sexual attacks in a given area, but they fail to act safely... then honestly, they messed up big... but I don't think I could EVER bring myself to say that they deserved it.  Because for many females... rape seems so.. foreign, so unlikely... it's almost a "it couldn't happen to me"... sadly, life always catches you at the most unexpected times.

If it's the matter of pride, if it's the matter of humility.  There are less emotionally scarring ways to do that.  You don't need such a serious matter to teach a lesson...

I can't believe we've got people running around hoping someone gets raped because it can teach them a lesson. What the shit is that?

I remember those girls.  You know what made me sad?  The fact that ONE girl texting killed four other girls along with her.  What made me sad?  That some people are stupid enough to risk their lives over something so trivial...  Do you honestly think that every person that does something stupid in their life should suffer like they did?  Damn, it wasn't even that one girl... she took four others out with her.  What about her family?  Do you think they can just say, "oh well, she did something stupid, she deserved it".

Now, don't get me wrong, I didn't weep or anything... I have no reason to... But I still feel bad for the families... and I still feel bad that the girl had to end her life from something so stupid.  It was so unnecessary... and that's my point... rape is so unnecessary.  I guess I don't see why you are so adament on having a female raped to teach them a lesson.  Likewise, I also dislike the fact that this is ONLY geared towards women, as if all men are not shallow...  I mean, without the men taking these actions, then we wouldn't HAVE this problem.  There wouldn't BE a nice guy or a condescending guy... and there wouldn't be a rapist.  (I'm no a feminist in any way, just so you know)  And I realize that this discussion isn't concerning that, but it's just another thought.  I don't know what your thoughts are, but from some of your words, you seem to make it quite clear that women should be the only one's experiencing these types of things.
