No, you don't need to bring it into it. Then you get the argument "How can you be pro-life if you eat meat?" and then, "How can you not eat animals but wear their products eg. leather?"

That's NOT relevant to abortion.

Humans are the ones who are subject to any kind of abortion law/debate, no other kind of animal, or indeed plants. So I fail to see why you think it's relevant?

It's relevant in what you may define as "human." Once again, there are Homo Sapiens who do not have the cognitive ability to even fathom the ideas of abortion. So killing them is not murder? We could sit here and debate whether an ape abortion is right or wrong, or a cow, or a donkey, etc. When it's a human it's an abortion, when it's a chicken it's an omelet... SO whether or not abortion is right or wrong relies completely o how you define "life" and "Human." I'm not disagreeing with you, in fact I mostly agree with you on this subject.

I know you're not, you're just bringing up a valid point.

I define human as homosapien, and whether they are able to define abortion or not doesn't come into it so far as I'm aware, I don't think that should matter.

No one should be forced to have a baby.

Pro-life has easy flaws in it, what if the mother was raped and got pregnant, does she deserve to have the child then, how would the child react to being conceived via rape?

My point is that there are exceptions to the pro-life argument, but the pro-choice one isn't perfect either.

Why do so many pro-choicers act as if pro-lifers don't think abortions should be allowed even in cases of rape or a threat to the mother's life?  The vast majority of pro-lifers would agree that an abortion should be an option if the mother's life is in danger or if the mother was raped.

What most pro-lifers don't want to see is a life being thrown away simply because someone had consensual sex and then decided that they didn't want the baby (which is the vast majority of all abortions).  The way they see sex is that by having sex, you're accepting the potential of having a child result from it.  Of course people have sex for more reasons than just to procreate, but that doesn't mean procreation won't occur - thus, they'd argue that one should not have sex until they are able to accept the responsibilities of pregnancy.

The question of whether or not abortion is right or wrong can never be answered.

There are so many different sides to it. It's one of those ambiguously moral situations that exists to torment everyone relentlessly.

I don't agree with either extreme. Because in my opinion, there really is no easy answer. How you choose to handle the issue is your opinion and your opinion only.

That is why we are pro-choice. If you are pro-life, you are ruling out all abortions, regardless of the circumstances.

Exactly. You pretty much just summed up the argument I was trying to put across, but seem to be struggling to do.

Wrong. What Bud said is closer to the way most pro-life people think. You seem to be pretty much clueless here.

Wrong. A true pro-life position is no abortion regardless of the situation. Most pro-lifers, specifically those following the Catholic church, are pro-life in all situations. One problem is that many pro-choicers and pro-lifers don't exactly know which views fall under which category. If you aren't pro choice, then one could say that you have no choice, therefore you must not be able to get an abortion.

The problem lies in which cases would be considered rape and which cases would be that threatening to a mother's life. We know how you bitches always love to fuck while intoxicated and the next day you call rape. So would that be a legal abortion? Where is the cut off line? That's an issue that we could debate for another 10 pages.

If you are truly pro-LIFE, then you wouldn't support death in any situation. Unfortunately, most of you self-righteous pro-lifers are have your heads so far up your asses you don't even see how hypocritical your beliefs really are.

I don't think the majority of pro-lifers would disagree with abortion if the mothers life was at risk or if she had been raped.

Rape = people who are forced into sex against their will. Ie. they've said no and it was forced on them and happened anyway.

If you are pro-life, how would you stand if the mother's life was at risk if the pregnancy went ahead?  Surely someone would die either way.

Thats not a flaw if you refuse to resolve two rights in conflict because there is no right answer.  It is unaddressable from a rights perspective.  The woman may value liberty more than life and thus could kill herself and thus the child as well.

Pro life as a label means pro the right to life which must entail the right to die as well.

Pro Life's antithesis would be pro death and its just as idiotic to assume that all the pro choice people actually want everyone in the world to die but if one goes by only the words and the oppositions this is what someone with no ability to understand that phrases have specific meaning within our culture as a means of labeling.

Was not aware that 97+% of all abortions were due to rape and/or medical emergencies...
