Okay, there is this little girl, maybe 9 months old, and she has Neuroblastoma, which is a form of cancer.  She has it in five different places.  Twice in her brain, one on her chest, one on her lung, and one on her stomach.  I already know a little bit about this disease, but I want to know more about it, and if you think she has any chance at all of survival.  Can anyone help me?

is another matter.

the fact that it has metastasized to those different places means that it is considered stage 4.  however, her age is a considerable factor to her advantage.

five year survival rate in a nine month old with stage 4 neuroblastoma with no extra copies of the MYCN gene has an 85% five year survival rate per the ACS.  If she has extra copies, that drops to 30%.

so where do you draw the line and tell yourself no more,
is it when your back's against the wall or you're crawlin on the floor?
