I felt stupid

On a quiz in calculus, we had to find the number of insects in a population after a given amount of time using some equation. So I put the equation in the calculator and the graph was a straight line, so I was like what the fuck. I tried every combination of parenthesis to get it to curve like it's supposed to, I asked the teacher about and she said she couldn't help me.

So I just wrote "OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAANNNNDDDD!!!!!!" and passed it in. After, my friend showed me all I had to do was expand the viewing window to see the curve. Never even occurred to me. I felt stupid

Lol, that sucks. You could have just pressed "zoom" (assuming it was a TI83 or above). Those calculators can do soooo much, but most of us don't know xp one of my teachers took a semester class on how to work them, and he's still learning about them :O

"They" doesn't include you I think - just in my state. We're all being made to pay $200 for some CAS calculator or something.
