1) Is this the first time in the history of Earth that the climate has changed? I did not know that global climate was a stagnant equilibrium...

If God controls the climate, then how come he kills thousands and strands millions every year with natural disasters? And don't say it is part of "God's Plan" either. Is his plan to kill lots of people, especially the ones that don't beleive in him? Forget it, this is not a philisophical discussion.
