I was just doing a few music mixes in there to try something I thought up today. This was the first time I opened up the music sessions since my computer overheated a few days ago and I applied the effect on the tracks instead of the takes and I hear this very fucked up sound, as if all the highs were gone and the rest hollow as fuck. So I thought the effect was useless and I took it off. Then I noticed it was still on there. I loaded up other wav-files that were crystal clear before the overheating, but were loaded into Cool Edit (my mixing program) to clean up back-ground noises. And they are all fucked up in the same way as well.
Does anybody know some genius way that I can use to restore the frequencies or the original files.. where Cool Edit saves them in case it gets a problem. Like how you get the "Do you want to continue session" message. Otherwise I have to do a shitload of recording again and I need to ask people to send the vocals again.
This is what I mean, it's from the "Advanced Rhymes" song, a draft version, because I want to re-lace my vocals and I needed to do the overdubs. But it's just seriously fucked up. Both tracks are at the exact same volume and this is how they turn out. I'm seriously like what the fuck??
Can anybody help me?
