Alright, so I don't want to fire this into the regular forum, because I imagine a bunch of 16-year olds won't have the right experience to help me. Anyways, I applied for a couple dozen companies out in Calgary, as I want to work out there for the summer. I can make a lot of money, and I've got a really good deal on housing so it's more economic for me to do this, as opposed to staying at home and working in Ontario.
Now, I know when applying for crappy little part-time jobs, that it's suggested you call the employer after dropping off a resume. Is that still expected of you when applying for an actual job? I e-mailed a bunch of companies Wednesday night, so making calls tomorrow would probably make for the best timing (letting things gel for a couple days). Is it professional to "badger" employers? I feel like I've already contacted them and put the ball in their hand; do I need to keep at them for this?
Thanks.
