I am so desperate to lose weight. I don't want to take drastic measures, and I know everything that I have to do, and how to be healthy about it, but I'm so impatient!!! I can't wait four months to be skinny. Even then, I won't be skinny, I'll just be less fat than I am now.
It is going to take so long to get the body that I really want. A year, maybe?!
I weigh about 145 pounds and want to get to about 120. (Height 5'7)

Why am I so impatient? How do you guys handle your impatience?

p.s i don't have an eating disorder, i just figured i'd get more responses putting it in this forum rather than the health one.

I'm pretty impatient too. It's better to wait than to be unhealthy though, is it not?

you twat.
I'm 5'9'' and 140. You don't need to get down to fucking 120.
Just eat a balanced fuckin diet and get over yourself.

I honestly think that you don't need to lose weight! You seem perfectly fine at that weight! I know other people who are 5' 7" and weigh that much and look good!

But I do agree with you on the part about being too impatient to lose weight, though I'm too impatient, lazy, and busy to lose weight...though I'm trying to change my ways!

I used to feel that way too about waiting for weight loss. Although, I really have to day that it IS worth it. It took me about 3 months to lose 16 pounds and i am SO happy I did. People do notice, and to do it the 'healthy' way is much more satisfying than starving yourself for quick results. Ive tried everything, and all starving/restricting made me do was feel miserable and go VERY strange around eating. Doing it the healthy way and being patient actually went quicker than i thought it would and the 'wow you look really slim' comments made it totally worth it..

Hmmm...I'm probably NOT going to use ice. Haha, that's just creating new problems.

I dont know what Eckies are but I would rather do it without any form of drug.

^^ and actually, im 5'9 and weighed 147 pounds BEFORE i lost weight. I felt uncomfortable with the size I was, im not ENCOURAGING the poster to lose weight, but I know that personally for myself, although BMI etc SAYS i was a healthy weight, I KNOW that for me, people had noticed I had gained and it didnt actually look natural. Dont be so quick to judge when you dont know what her body type is like or anything.

Healthy weight for a female at 5'7 is about 135 pounds or a little less. 120 is a bit too thin.

Thankyou!
Yes, I'm the same. It's not like I want to be a twig or anything, not at all, I just have an athletic figure, which used to look good, but when I gain weight I look sort of butch...
I feel like Britney Spears after she gained weight, haha.
