My roommate well, has like 1 friend.  She has a boyfriend at a different school.  She is in a sorority.  But frankly, she acts like she has depression and basically deoes nothing but sleep or watch TV.

She is very annoying because she'll always ask where I am going, what I'm doing, who I'm with, and if it's fun.  She always makes me feel gulty cause she'll say "You were gone last night and left me here all by myself.  I was lonely because I had no roommate"  And I resent that she tries to manipulate me and make me feel guilty.

I have a life and I wish she would stay out of it sometimes.

Eh... I can see things from her point of view, as i've been there and am somewhat in that position now... Why not take her out and introduce her to some new people? It'll help her build friendships and feel better about herself.

Her social life is not your concern and you are not her entertainer. Don't feel guilty because you have friends. It's not your fault that she has none.

Yes, I have many times in the beginning of this year asked her to come with us, I have introduced her to people on our floor.  And let me tell you what she did....

She was rude and obnoxious to them, so much so that it embarrassed me. I no longer inviite people to our room because she is mean and I am embrrassed.

It is NOT my job to make her social friends.  She is capable on her own.  She secludes herself in her room, refuses to hang out with others, and only wants to talk to people if they join her sorority.

HELL no, it is not my job.  I have a life.  She will NOT bring me down to her level.

ok. i understand things from both perspectives.
i can see where she'd be lonely... for the first six months of my freshman year i was like that. i didn't know how to meet people. at first my roommate was really nice to me and invited me to hang out with her friends, but when she realized i was kind of shy, she stopped asking me.
i don't think that i was embarrassing for her, i think that she was just a bitch and thought i was wierd. then she started being mean to me... it was cool though because i made my own friends and moved out of that room. but that bit wasn't really relevant.
but if you've tried inviting her out, and she has proven herself to be mean or rude, then you're right. it's not your concern. you tried. and you should tell her that you don't take her out anymore because she's so rude to your friends. if she tries to say that she was joking, then tell her that people didn't perceive it that way.
the next time she tries to make you feel bad for leaving her alone, you should just say "well, you should have gone out with your friends instead of sitting here". it's kind of mean, but she'll start to see the point that she can't rely on you to take her places. maybe she'll find some rude obnoxious friends to spend time with and you can start having people over to your room!

Ugh...That does sound really annoying. On the positive side though, the year is almost over. You don't have to room with her next year!
