I have windows vista home premium (dont say anything... not my computer, so im not allowed to put xp on it)

I keep having to change things, like the clock date and such, to use different programs. Each time i do, it wants to know if i have administrative privileges, and i get the 2 pop ups from windows asking me this.

is there a way to turn them off?

You have to turn of Vista User Access Control (UAC), I don't have Vista so I'm not sure where you'll find it, try the Control Panel.

Why do you need to change the clock? The time and the date and just that, the time and the date... i doubt you move between time zones much... to me this says you have bigger issues....

I recommend not turning it off.  If you're going from a clean install, once you get past the stage of installing every application you need, it really is helpful to know what privileges certain programs are running under.  However, the methods detailed in the posts above will allow you to turn it off.
