We got some idiots running rampant in here.

The theory of evolution says nothing about god. It does not disprove anything except the literal interpretation of the bible (adam and eve).

You don't have to believe moses parted the fucking sea to believe in god, don't be that close minded.

The theory of evolution does not say anything about god, i know that.

But what it does say is that god created the earth and the humans and everything, which isn't true, and that is what is disproved by natural selection.

But, what i am saying is that it disproves the literal interpretation of the bible, which is what most people follow.

Actually most people I encounter don't take the bible literally.

oh and just a fyi, god and evolution can coexist. I believe in god AND evolution. I just dont think the universe started from a chemical reaction.

the earth was never believed to be started by a chemical reaction...

It is a mass of floating particle that bonded.

so where did those floating particles come from, and what were they floating in if the universe didnt exist?

just because you believe in god doesnt mean you interperet the bible word for word

Exactly...Most people now days don't actually believe that Jonah was swallowed whole by a giant water mammal, then somehow lived inside the thing without being digested.

what proof do you have that he isnt?

Theory of Evolution. It completely dissproves "God" in the bible.

No, it doesn't.

The proof for God is just as good as the proof against Him. So I choose to believe that He is real. Personal experiences help, too. But not many people accept that as proof.

The universe did exist. Explain to me how a supernatural being can create things.

What actual proof you have that life came from non-life?  ;)

what do you have against god?

Absolutely nothing, I'm Christian.  I'm just reversing his question.

Life didn't come from non-life. Dumbfuck.

Well, if you don't believe in God, you must believe in some form of evolution... which supports the idea the life came from non-life.  So what do you believe?

 Hmmm
 Apes perhaps.

The only thing that could possibly prove is evolution of related things.  It doesn't explain apes evolving from nothing.

Yes, but that still doesn't explain how they came from non-living matter.

That's never been proven.  The Law of Biogenesis actually disproves it.
