the girls i know usually drink too much, as in 4 or 5 time a week, and they do it to get shit faced.. This is very typical of freshman, but I don't really understand why girls feel the need to go out to the bar and just get obliterated. I even know girls who put themselves in dangerous situations where they are at an unsafe place drinking and can't leave since they are drunk.

eh, it depends. generally i drink every weekend (usually fridays, sometimes both friday and saturday) but i don't keep count of how much i drink. sometimes i get rat-arsed, other times i don't. when i was at uni (i was there for 2 months before having to take a leave of absence) i was drinking about 3 times a week. i got into the habit of having a lot to drink on tuesday nights, a quiet drink over a meal with friends on wednesdays and drinking a lot again on fridays. I go out about once every week and a half, usually for special social occasions only. I drink about 6 shots through the night. I know my limits very well :)

Wow, I wasn't even talking about high schoolers, I don't think you guys and girls should be drinking at all, well maybe the occasional sip or beer here and there but thats it.
When I was in high school I thought I was sooo cool and me and my friends, as well as dozens of other kids would drink 1-4 beers and thought we were wasted.....14 beers and 6 shots of rum in one night is just unheard of for most high schoolers. You wanna think about the consequences, it's gonna have on your liver and really your life in general...you could die anytime you drink that much(even if you were possibly exagerating) My own drinking habits have been anything but acceptable and I'm working on changing them, but I'm also nearly 20.
i wasnt exagerating and it wont kill you. its not like i even throw up with that much. if you drink excessively over time, yes but to binge every once in a while doesnt hurt anyone (so long as you do it without driving, and that your a good drunk, etc)

I am cheap drunk. I just about never drink beer since no one ever really has it to pregame with, and by the time we are done pregaming and had a little bit more, I don't need anything else. I think about five or six drinks get me drunk, and I don't like to go past that. How much I go out a week really depends on the week. Sometimes I don't go out at all, other times I go out Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and I don't necessarily get drunk each time I go out.

i try to go with people who can watch me. i lose all control when i drink and end up turning into a slut. its bad. but honestly going with friends who can look out for you is the best way to cut back.

At first I would drink too much and get wasted and probably kind of stupid sometimes, lol... usually like 6-8 drinks or something has me pretty trashed. Now I try to stick to between 1 and 3 drinks a night just so that I stay in control and remember the fun memories instaed of wondering what happened, haha! Plus I feel better the next day...
